BOOKING WITH PARLOUR
When booking with Parlour for the first time, it is our policy to bring you in for a complimentary consultation first. We get a lot of “why” questions surrounding this step in our process, but our reasoning is very simple: we need to know what we’re working with. Colouring hair isn’t a “one size fits all” service … we need to know how you’ve been colouring your hair in the past, what you like and don’t like, what state your hair is in, what your beauty budget is, if we are looking at potentially correcting your current colour, the list goes on! The consultation is a very important step in ensuring you’re booked for the correct amount of time we need to achieve your hair goals. At the end of the day, we want to make sure that we are on the same page so that we are delivering you top quality service, every time.
THE DRY CUT EXPERIENCE
Typically people wear their hair dry, and that is precisely why we cut it in its clean and styled natural state. When it comes to curly hair, cutting wet doesn’t allow us to consider all the natural bounce and movement your curls might have, leaving lots of opportunity for a cut that just doesn’t feel right. Working with you in it’s natural textured state will allow you to have the haircut of your dreams, and that is what we strive for at PHL. And don’t worry if you aren’t a curly girl, the Dry Cut Experience will leave you with the most polished and personalized cut you’ve ever had.
To get the best out of us, we need the best out of you- Please come for your haircut with clean and styled DRY hair. If it’s seen a wash within 48 hours of your appointment you will be good to go, and please make sure there aren’t any ponytail kinks or messy bun snarls in the mix.
IN LIVING COLOUR
We ask you to come in for a complimentary consultation with the stylist of your choice before booking your first colour appointment. The consultation is an important part of the process, as it allows us to sit down with you and discuss your hair goals, give you a quote, and book you in an appropriate time slot. Nothing gets us more excited about your hair than your ideas and inspiration, so come prepared with some inspo pics or an entire Pinterest board. Looking through pictures helps us speak your hair language, and also gives us an idea of the vibe you’re going for.
GAL WITH A PLAN
Our schedule fills up fast, so we suggest pre-booking or booking your appointment 2-4 weeks in advance, especially if you require an evening or weekend spot. We are stoked about your appointment, and our time together is carefully scheduled. Rushing isn’t an option so we suggest you arrive at least 5 minutes early. Arriving later than 10 minutes to your appointment runs the risk of being rescheduled.
We cannot guarantee walk-in appointments can be accommodated. The best way to snag a last minute appointment is to call and ask. If there are no spots open, you can request to be put on our Cancellation List. Otherwise, we’ll book you for the next available future appointment.
